Fords 300BHP uber hatch, was booked in for our enhance & protect service, despite being a bit grubby, the owner had done a very good job of looking after the paintwork, which was only showing slight swirling and one or two deeper defects.
How it looked on arrival
The owner requested a wheels off detail for this one
Degreased
Wheels cleaned with a non-acidic wheel cleaner, tar remover used on any tar spots, then clayed and cleaned with Swissvax cleaner fluid
Then sealed with Swissvax Autobahn
Copper grease applied and wheels put back on and torqued to manufacturers spec.
Then onto the bodywork
Foamed
Badges, grills and gaps aggitated with Swissvax detail brush
Rinsed, washed with lambswool mitt, clayed then inspected under the lights…… as mentioned earlier the owner had done a pretty good job of keeping the paintwork swirl free, it was mainly the bonnet that needed the most attention
Most areas the swirling was so light I could hardly capture it with the camera
So a mild polishing combo was chosen – Swissvax Cleaner Fluid Pro with a polishing pad – Ford paint is a lot softer than the usual germanic paint I am used to dealing with..

Once all the polishing was completed, the paintwork was given a coat of Swissvax Shield wax and all the other areas attended to i.e. tyres, engine bay and wheel arches dressed, glass cleaned, exhausts polished.
