This is a recent purchase and an new addition to the list of cars we have signed up to one of our quarterly maintenance plans
After collecting from the dealership, the owner brought it straight over to us for the initial treatment of its maintenance plan, which despite first appearances ending up needing more work than was initially anticipated……..
So how the car looked on arrival, pretty good from a distance (as it should coming straight from the dealers!)
However closer inspection revealed, lots of polish residue left on various areas of the car.
So straight onto the wet work, usual process of washing and claying then indoors to dry…….

and get it under some lights to see what we had…
Oh dear! Now this is not an uncommon sight to see on Aston Martins (unfortunately…) poor finishing from the factory leaving the lower areas of the car covered in DA (sanding) marks from the final stages of finishing at the factory and once the fillers have been washed away and resulting drop back occurs from the process they use at the factory.
Not the end of the world and with (proper!) machine polishing and refining can be rectified to bring the level of finish up to a standard that we believe it should be.
I always find AM paint to be fantastic when properly finished it really does have so much extra depth when compared to most other manufacturers.
Some photos of various other defects around the car
So from going from a (hoped for!) enhancement detail it turned into a full on correction detail (who needs weekends off anyway lol)
Correction was carried out using a 2 stage process
Some before and afters..all pre-refinement
Gorgeous flake in the Oynx paint
Once all the machine work was completed, all painted surfaces were treated with SV CF followed by an application of Swissvax Divine, wheels were Nanolex’d and the interior was given a vac and dust.
Leaving it looking like this
And some final shots outside
